Export-Import Operations Lead

Victor Salazar

The Export-Import Operations Lead manages the entire flow of fresh produce and processed food imports and exports at Verita Global, ensuring full compliance with international regulations and buyer requirements.
They oversee operations at ports, DCs, and warehouses, including inbound/outbound logistics, quarantine, customs clearance, fumigation, labeling, and delivery.
Close coordination with quarantine and food safety authorities ensures that all documentation and procedures are ready in advance, avoiding clearance delays.
They monitor each country’s import laws — such as MRL limits and labeling requirements — and proactively adjust logistics strategies to meet specific buyer needs.

For cold-chain products, they supervise container handling, temperature control, and palletization to maintain product integrity.
Schedules for vessel arrival, quarantine appointments, and customs processing are shared internally and with buyers to maintain transparency and reduce risk.
They manage contracts and performance with third-party logistics providers (stevedores, carriers, customs brokers, etc.) to ensure smooth and accountable operations.
More than logistics, this role transforms export-import operations into a trust-based supply chain strategy.
